State Secretary of the Ministry for Diaspora Aleksandar Cotric stated that it is necessary to amend the Law on election of deputies so as to provide larger turnout of the Diaspora.
Cotric reiterated that voting by mail should be introduced and also noted that a universal voter registration list available on the Internet must be formed.
The new law should also provide voting outside consular and diplomatic offices worldwide and the election process would last several days.
He also noted that the number of Serbian voters in the world is not large, but noted that diplomatic and consular offices, media, clubs, organisation and associations of the Diaspora need to get engaged in that process.
