Assembly of equipment for making Zastava 10 - Punto begins

Serbian Minister of Economy Predrag Bubalo said today at Kragujevac car factory Zastava that the assembly of the first part of equipment for making Zastava 10 - Punto under licence of Italian Fiat has begun.

Bubalo said that the first home-made Punto is expected to be released in June. 4,000 cars of that type should be made by the end of the year.
The production of Zastava 10 - Punto will enable the domestic car industry, which consists of over 200 companies, to start making parts for the new model and launch a new investment cycle.
