Speaking at a working breakfast with journalists, Naumov pointed out that the price of electricity in Serbia is not realistic, and not even rational business by the Electric Power Industry of Serbia (EPS) can help cover expenses.
He recalled that the setting of electricity prices is defined by the Law on energy, according to which the EPS proposes the price of electricity on the basis of established methodology.
That proposal is sent by the company to the Energy Agency for approval and if adopted, it is then sent to the Serbian government for approval.
Serbian Assistant Minister of Energy and Mining Slobodan Sokolovic said that the change of Serbia's natural gas supplier in 2007 will not influence the price of that energy product.
He recalled that the public company Srbijagas signed for the first time this year a contract on gas supply with Jugorosgaz, while previous gas deliveries were arranged with majority owner of that company, Russian Gazprom Export.
