RIK adopts rules for holding parliamentary elections in Montenegrin territory

The Serbian Electoral Commission (RIK) adopted last night rules for holding parliamentary elections in the territory of Montenegro and decided that presidents of municipalities or mayors can be members of parliament at the same time.
According to election rules for the territory of Montenegro, the RIK will collect applications from Serbian citizens, who wish to vote at the January 21 elections, and are residents of Montenegro, and submit this data to the Serbian Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self Government.
The Ministry will prepare special voters list for every polling station in Montenegro and submit it to the RIK at the latest until January 5, 2007.
Polling stations in Montenegro will be determined according to the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and this proposal should be submitted to the RIK at the latest until midnight, December 25.
The RIK will appoint the permanent members of the electoral board in Montenegro at the latest until January 10, and the board will consist of a president and two members who will have deputies.
