The rules specify that in order to submit an electoral list, a certified list of at least 10,000 voters' signatures must be submitted. National minorities' parties and party coalitions should submit lists with at least 3,000 voters' signatures.
Political parties, coalitions and citizens' groups may pick up application forms for submitting electoral lists as of tomorrow, November 16.
With the electoral list, the applicant must submit an alphabetical list certified in court of at least 10,000 signatures of voters who support the applicant. Parties and coalitions of national minorities may submit lists of at least 3,000 signatures.
Electoral lists intending to be granted party or coalition status of national minorities must submit a written proposal to RIK, in line with Article 81 of the Law on electing parliament members.
The deadline for submitting lists is January 8 at midnight when the voters' register will also be concluded.
RIK must announce the total number of voters by January 8 at midnight, and by January 18 additional voters may be added to the list only through a court decision. The final number of voters will be announced on January 19 at midnight.
The rules specify that by December 31 at midnight, RIK will determine and announce the numbers and addresses of election stations at which at least between 100 voters and 2,500 at the most, may vote, with the exception of Kosovo-Metohija where the number can be below 100.
Serbian citizens living abroad may request to be registered in special voters' register by December 31, 2006.
Election stations at the upcoming parliamentary elections will be open from 7 am to 8 pm. Stations abroad will be closed at the same time as in Serbia.
