Serbian President Boris Tadic has scheduled parliamentary elections for January 21, 2007.

Early this morning at another extraordinary session, parliament members adopted the Bill on the Serbian Constitution implementation according to which parliamentary elections must be held within 60 to 120 days. This created the conditions for the President to call the elections.
Presidential, regional and local elections will be held by end-2007 at the latest.
