Serbia continues to nurture unbreakable ties with Republika Srpska

The meeting at the Government of Republika Srpska building, attended by members of both governments, focused on further strengthening cooperation between Serbia and Republika Srpska, as well as on the implementation of important joint projects of significance for the Serbian people and citizens on both sides of the Drina River.
Macut pointed out that today’s meeting represents a continuation of the regular meetings and joint work of the two governments, aimed at strengthening ties and implementing concrete projects that contribute to development, connectivity and a better quality of life for citizens.
Following the meeting, the Serbian Prime Minister addressed the ceremony marking the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag, which is observed in remembrance of the breakthrough on the Salonica Front during the First World War.
Although some had hoped that, due to certain transport-related reasons, we might not be here with you today, here I am, and the ministers in the Government of Serbia are here as well, Macut said.
He stressed that Serbia and Republika Srpska are connected by deep historical, cultural, family and traditional ties, and that Serbian unity is founded on preserving identity, freedom and peace.
The Prime Minister emphasised that Serbia threatens no one and seeks nothing that belongs to others, but rather peace, stability and cooperation, while continuing to safeguard its state and national interests and its people wherever they live.
The Prime Minister said that Serbia will continue to stand by Republika Srpska, preserve the special and unbreakable ties between them and respect the Dayton Peace Agreement, adding that those strong ties must be confirmed through concrete results, including infrastructure connectivity, cooperation in healthcare, education and culture, as well as projects that contribute to development and create better living conditions.
