Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today with President of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Witold Bańka ahead of the agency’s upcoming Executive Committee meeting, which will be held in Belgrade on 10 September.

Macut emphasised that hosting this important international meeting in Belgrade represents a significant recognition for Serbia and confirms its commitment to combating doping, protecting athletes’ health and safeguarding the integrity of sport.
He noted that Belgrade will host discussions on key issues and the future activities of the World Anti-Doping Agency, which will contribute to strengthening Serbia’s role in the international sports system.
The interlocutors assessed that the upcoming Executive Committee meeting will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and further enhance cooperation between Serbia and the World Anti-Doping Agency.
The meeting was also attended by World Anti-Doping Agency Director General Olivier Niggli, President of the Olympic Committee of Serbia Dejan Tomašević, Secretary General of the Olympic Committee of Serbia Dejan Bojović and Secretary-General of the Government of the Republic of Serbia Petar Janjić.
