Parliament to proclaim Constitution on November 8

The Department of Media Relations of the Serbian parliament stated that parliament Speaker Predrag Markovic will convene a session on November 8 at 12 noon at which the new Constitution of Serbia will be officially proclaimed.
The formal session will be held at the main parliament building at the Nikola Pasic Square and that will be the second special parliament session. At the first one, held on September 30, the new Constitution of Serbia was adopted. On October 28 and 29, the supreme legal act was confirmed at the referendum.
Parliament Speaker Predrag Markovic invited Serbian President Boris Tadic, Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica and government members, Serbian Patriarch Pavle and representatives of churches and religious communities in Serbia, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and the president and members of the Constitutional and Supreme Court of Serbia, to attend the formal proclamation of the Constitution.
