51.5% of citizens vote for Constitution, preliminary results say

The Centre for Free Elections and Democracy (CeSID) stated this evening that according to preliminary results, 53.5% of the total number of registered voters voted at the referendum on the new Constitution of Serbia, and 51.6% of citizens voted for its adoption.

According to CeSID’s data presented at a press conference, a little more than 82,000 citizens or 81.6% went to the polls in Kosovo-Metohija, in Central Serbia around 1,740,000 or 52%, and in Vojvodina 740,000 or 43.6% of citizens.
A total of 760,000 citizens or 50.6% of the total number of registered voters voted in Belgrade, and in the last two hours before the closing of polling stations, the turnout was 4% per hour.
