Director of the Serbian Statistical Office Dragan Vukmirovic said at the Commission’s regular press conference held at 11 am that the turnout in Central Serbia, according to data from 273 polling stations, has been 24.56%, in Vojvodina, according to data from 93 polling places 20.19%, and in Belgrade, according to data from 75 polling stations 26.10 %.
He added that the turnout in Novi Sad has been 24.22%, in Nis 21%, and in Kragujevac 20.95%.
Comparing today’s turnout by 10 am with yesterday’s in the same time period, Vukmirovic said that that the largest growth in the number of voters has been noted in Vojvodina, where 3.56% voted yesterday by 10 am, while today that number has been 5.54%.
President of the Serbian Electoral Commission Mihailo Rulic said that the highest turnout so far has been recorded in Kosovo-Metohija.
He recalled that the second day of the referendum began this morning at 7 am and added that all 8,385 polling stations were opened on time. Citizens who did not vote yesterday can do it today by 8 pm.
Rulic said that the night between the two days of the referendum passed peacefully and that the security of the voting material was excellent.
