Director of the Serbian government's EU Integration Office Tanja Miscevic said late today that the Committee of Permanent Representatives of EU member states adopted a mandate for negotiations on visa relaxations for citizens of western Balkan countries.
Speaking at a panel "From stability to integration: southeastern Europe takes over ownership of regional cooperation", Miscevic voiced hope that negotiations on visa relaxations for Serbian citizens will be applied as of November.
She said that is the first step before the EU Council of Ministers adopts the mandate, when the negotiations can officially begin.
