The Declaration states that organised crime and terrorism are a global security threat to which countries of southeastern Europe are largely exposed because of the process of consolidation of stability in the region.
Together with organised crime, as one of the main sources of financing and a means for destabilisation of states, terrorism is the most dangerous threat to peace, stability and democratic development of this region, the Declaration adds.
Serbian President Boris Tadic said at a joint press conference held with other participants in the meeting that an expert team of the region representatives will be formed soon, which will coordinate all activities on fighting organised crime and global terrorism with competent institutions of the European Union.
Tadic voiced satisfaction with the work and results of the agreement in Karadjordjevo and added that the next summit will be held in Macedonia.
