Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović met today with representatives of small private petrol stations to discuss the supply of oil derivatives in the context of sanctions against oil company Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS).
Đedović Handanović emphasised that the state is working to establish a quick and efficient mechanism to compensate for any missing quantities of oil derivatives on the market from state reserves and reduce pressure on the market that may arise in such circumstances.
We have a clear plan and expect cooperation from all market participants that supply individuals and businesses with oil derivatives in overcoming this temporary situation, Đedović Handanović said.
She concluded that the supply of oil derivatives must not be jeopardised, underlining that the state is doing everything it can to resolve the situation with NIS in the long term.
