Erhard Busek and Zoran Stojkovic
According to Stojkovic, the Stability Pact has pledged to help Serbia pass legislation covering all criminal offences described in conventions on corruption, money laundering and human trafficking, as well as the Naples convention.
Once prepared, new bills will be forwarded to the Council of Europe and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) for debate, the minister said.
Busek pledged the Stability Pact’s support for drawing up bills on witness protection and protection of personal information, adding that the Stability Pact is ready to help Serbia-Montenegro create an investment-friendly environment and pass key bills on the state union level.
Today’s meeting, which Busek described as successful, also focused on other issues concerning the region and the international community.
Stojkovic also informed Busek on yesterday’s meeting between officials of the Serbian and Montenegrin governments, which he said reached agreements on military courts, the state union court and participation in international organisations.
