Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, attended today at the Guard House in Topčider the celebration of 4 December – Military Veterans Day.
Macut, who attended the ceremonial academy with Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić, congratulated military veterans on this day, with the message that the state will never forget their contribution to the peace and freedom in which today’s generations live.
We mark this day with great reverence today, proud of all the brave heroes who defended our homeland and for whom it was more important than their own lives. By fighting for your homeland and for all of us, you have shown not only courage and fearlessness, but also immense love for our country, the Prime Minister said.
He emphasised that it is up to current and future generations to remember every feat and preserve the memory of heroism and patriotism, which are woven into the foundations of today’s free and prosperous Serbia.
