First 19 resolutions awarded under IPARD III for procurement of new tractors

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Professor Dragan Glamočić, PhD, and Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Serbia Plamena Halacheva today presented the first 19 resolutions for the purchase of new tractors under IPARD III, Measure 1 – Investments in Physical Assets of Agricultural Holdings – to beneficiaries who have successfully completed the project approval procedure.

Glamočić specified that 369 agricultural producers will receive support through this public call, with a total value of RSD 2.7 billion, noting that the EU finances 75% of this amount, and the state more than RSD 700 million.

According to him, this demonstrates how EU funds and state support come together with a shared objective – to provide Serbian farmers with modern working conditions, equal to those in the Union.

Halacheva emphasised that the IPARD programme is the most significant form of support from the European Union to agriculture and the food processing sector in Serbia, enabling farmers and agribusinesses to gain direct access to grants.

According to her, the funds under the IPARD III programme have significantly increased compared to the previous period, reflecting the EU’s strong commitment to the development and modernisation of the agricultural sector in Serbia, given that it sees the country as a future member of the Union.
