Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Professor Dragan Glamočić, PhD, today visited Superior Foods d.o.o. in Bačinci, where a new poultry processing facility, worth €7 million, has been put into operation.
The investment was realised with the support of Hungarian investment fund Hodler Asset Management, which recognised Serbia as a safe and stable environment for investing in the agri-food sector.
Glamočić pointed out that Superior Foods has carried out a thorough reconstruction and modernisation of its facilities, worth €7 million, thereby doubling its poultry processing capacity to over 14 million birds per year.
The company currently employs approximately 260 workers, and in the next phase, the number of employees is expected to exceed 300, he said, noting that this is an example of how a stable investment can improve not only production but the entire supply chain.
Glamočić emphasised that Superior Foods cooperates with more than 50 farms in Serbia and the region, which, he explained, ensures a secure market for domestic producers and develops a vertical integration model in which breeding, processing and the market are linked in a single system.
