Improving Serbia-China cooperation in field of gender equality

At the meeting, held on the sidelines of the Global Summit on the Status of Women in Beijing, Macura pointed to Serbia's excellent results when it comes to the political and economic empowerment of women, with the conviction that even major global powers have something to learn from us.
She emphasised that the speech of Chinese President Xi clearly shows China's commitment to direct significant funds from its budget to support women, as well as to offer cooperation through the exchange of experiences and knowledge.
In this sense, the visit of women from Serbia to China and vice versa can be of great benefit to both countries, she said.
The Minister invited the All-China Women's Federation to participate in the "Belgrade Women's Conference RISE 2026" next year, in order to continue with joint efforts towards further implementation of the Beijing Declaration.
