By sectors, the production and distribution of electric energy, gas and water in July 2006 rose by 4.8% against July 2005, while the processing industry saw a growth of 8.6% and ore and stone mining 5%.
Compared to July 2005, this July the production of durable consumer goods rose by 41.5%, non-durable consumer goods by 16.9%, intermediate products excluding energy by 9.7% and energy by 0.8%, whereas the production of capital goods fell 21.5%.
Industrial production increased in July 2006 against July 2005 in 15 areas making up 75% of total industrial production, but there was also a decline in 14 areas which account for 25% of total industrial production.
The July growth in comparison with July 2006 was mostly influenced by the production of elementary metals, foodstuff and beverages, electricity, furniture, chemicals and chemical products.
The output of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that employ less than 50 workers and are not included in regular statistic surveys is monitored on a sample of 313 SMEs from the processing industry, and this July the required data was submitted by 91 companies.
The total industrial production this July against last year’s average monthly output, including SME output figures, rose by 1.5% (excluding these figures it stands at 1.5%) and 4.8% in the processing industry (excluding these figures it is 4.7%).
