Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Professor Dragan Glamočić, PhD, and Italian Ambassador to Serbia Luca Gori agreed today that the two countries are bound by long-standing friendship and strong bilateral relations, which continue to improve year after year.

The interlocutors emphasised that for Serbia, Italy is one of the most important and promising markets and that it is in the interest of both countries to maintain market stability, improve safe production and continue strengthening mutual cooperation and support.
The meeting looked at the possibilities for increasing Italian investment in Serbia, especially in the processing sector, which holds considerable potential for further development and contribution to improving the competitiveness of Serbian agriculture.
The two officials also discussed a joint visit to the Italian company Ferrero, planned for next month, while Italy confirmed its participation in the “Wine Vision by Open Balkan” international wine, food, brandy and tourism fair, which will be held at the Belgrade Fair in November.
