Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić stated today at a panel dedicated to political strategic dialogue as a partnership for the future, held as part of the America Day event, that the strategic dialogue between Serbia and the United States should be viewed both in a bilateral and a broader global context.

Đurić emphasised that the continuous improvement of relations between the two countries is a lasting value, despite the occasionally turbulent and challenging circumstances.
He assessed that, when it comes to cooperation between Serbia and the United States, this is a moment of great opportunities and new prospects, with the best confirmation of this being the intention of the two countries to launch a formal strategic dialogue in the coming months.
According to him, this entails the introduction of regular meetings and the exchange of planning and programme activities between ministries, agencies and institutions – a level of engagement not present with countries that lack such a framework.
Đurić assessed that the strategic dialogue raises bilateral relations to an entirely new level and helps turn a new page in the essential sense in relations with a country with which Serbia shares 144 years of friendship.
