Minister without portfolio in charge of international economic cooperation and the social position of the church in the country and abroad Nenad Popović today spoke with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko about advancing economic cooperation, as well as specifying joint activities in areas of mutual interest.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the existing results of bilateral cooperation, especially in the areas of economy, trade, industry, investment, digitalisation and new technologies.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of the strategic partnership between the two countries and the potential for its further development.
Popović said that strengthening economic cooperation will be one of the key goals of deepening relations with Russia, especially in the sectors of high technologies, innovation, development of energy resources and infrastructure.
Botsan-Kharchenko stressed the importance of further developing Serbian-Russian relations and reiterated the Russian Federation’s commitment to continuing strong support for Serbia in key strategic areas.
