Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Academician Bela Balint signed the Memorandum of Cooperation today in Tokyo with Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Toshiko Abe.
The Memorandum was signed in the presence of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Japanese Ambassador to Serbia Akira Imamura, as part of the official visit of the Serbian delegation to Japan.
The aim of this Memorandum is to encourage exchange and cooperation in scientific research and technological innovation, as well as to develop cooperation between interested organisations of the two countries, in particular between scientific and research organisations, academic communities and organisations supporting innovation.
The cooperation activities under the Memorandum of Cooperation cover the areas of artificial intelligence, physics and mathematics, including blockchain and information and communication technologies, biology and biotechnology, environment and energy, and higher education.
