In the presence of President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, three bilateral documents were signed in Tokyo today, which contribute to improving cooperation between Serbia and Japan, including the Joint Statement on reaching an agreement in principle on investment promotion and protection.

This document, signed by Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade Jagoda Lazarević and Japanese Ambassador to Serbia Akira Imamura, sends a clear signal to the existing and potential investors about the security and prospects of investing in Serbia.
Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Bela Balint and Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Toshiko Abe signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two ministries.
The Memorandum of Understanding regarding cooperation in the field of advanced ICT technologies in Serbia between the Serbian government’s Office for Information Technologies and eGovernment and the company NTT DATA was signed by Office Director Mihailo Jovanović and Chief Technology Officer of NTT DATA Bojan Mrazovac.
President Vučić, who has been on a working visit to Japan since 14 September, met earlier today with Emperor of Japan Naruhito and Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
The meeting with the Japanese Prime Minister was also attended by Minister Jagoda Lazarević, Minister Bela Balint, Office Director Mihailo Jovanović and President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Čadež.
