Cooperation between Serbia, Japanese company NTT DATA in ICT field

Belgrade/Tokyo, 16 September 2025

Director of the Serbian government’s Office for Information Technologies and eGovernment Mihailo Jovanović signed today a Memorandum of Understanding between the Office and NTT DATA, a Japanese company ranked among the world’s top 10 IT service providers.

The MoU was signed in the presence of President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, as part of an official visit of the delegation of the Republic of Serbia to Japan.

The document refers to the establishment of cooperation in the field of advanced ICT technologies, especially the provision of safe, secure and practical ICT services, while enabling digital transformation, adopting advanced technologies and emphasising the importance of cooperation between Serbia and Japan.

Jovanović assessed that the signing of the Memorandum was an important step in strengthening Serbia's digital infrastructure, but also in positioning the country as a reliable technological partner globally.

The focus will also be on joint work on potential projects in the framework of preparations for the international exhibition Expo 2027 in Belgrade, such as the development of the so-called Digital Human solution – an AI-powered virtual guide.

In addition, NTT DATA and the Office for Information Technologies and eGovernment will establish long-term research activities to develop new technologies.
