Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Academician Bela Balint attended today an official ceremony marking the National Day of Serbia at the Expo 2025 Osaka exhibition in Japan.
Balint was a member of the Serbian delegation led by President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and which also included Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade Jagoda Lazarević, Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment Mihailo Jovanović and President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce Marko Čadež.
Along with President Vučić, the celebration was also attended by his wife Tamara Vučić.
During the ceremony, the flag of the Republic of Serbia was raised, the anthem "Bože pravde" played, and cultural and artistic programme held.
Part of the ceremony was also a tour of the Serbian exhibition pavilion.
During his address at the ceremony, the President of Serbia expressed pride in the fact that the Serbian pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka has been visited by nearly 900,000 people so far and emphasised that Serbia is a bridge between the East and the West.
On this occasion, Vučić also announced Specialised Expo 2027 to be held in Belgrade.
The National Day of Serbia at Expo 2025 in Osaka is marked on 15 September on the occasion of the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and National Flag.
