The Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated today that Albin Kurti’s political courts continue to hand down draconian, unlawful and politically motivated verdicts against Serbs, lacking in evidence, credible witnesses and any grounding in law or justice.

The latest in a series of such unfounded verdicts is the one issued today against Miloš Plesković from Prizren, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison despite no credible witness linking him to the alleged crime.
In addition, he was only 19 years old at the time and freely went to Prizren even after the events he is accused of, but the alleged witnesses identified him as the alleged perpetrator only 24 years later.
Such politically driven and unlawful verdicts constitute a gross violation of the basic human rights of Serbs, including the right to a fair trial, as guaranteed by international conventions.
