Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petković spoke today with UK Special Envoy to the Western Balkans Karen Pierce about progress of the dialogue in Brussels as well as about Prišina’s refusal to discuss proposals for de-escalation of the situation on the ground.

Daily exposure of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija to Priština’s terror

Petković emphasised that Priština is guided by a policy of illegal and unilateral solutions, pointing to the daily exposure of the Serbian people in the province to terror and violent actions.
He explained that this is evidenced by almost seven hundred incidents since Kurti came to power, dozens of escalating moves, the persecution of the leaders of the Serbian List in order to leave the Serbian people without protection, all with the aim of creating impossible conditions for the life of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija.
He underlined that Belgrade, despite all the obstructions and obstacles from Priština, the disinformation campaign they are using, and demagogic attacks, will remain firmly committed to dialogue as a platform for the normalisation of relations and the search for sustainable solutions on the ground.
