Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, met today with Archbishop and Metropolitan of Belgrade Ladislav Nemet, with whom he discussed future cooperation.
Macut emphasised that Serbia is an example of respect and acceptance of diversity, because it provides everyone with opportunities to freely express themselves and contribute to the country’s development.
He stressed that stability and interethnic and religious connections are very important to the Government of Serbia, and that his cabinet will continue to develop the already successful cooperation.
Archbishop Nemet thanked the Prime Minister for the government’s support for the Catholic Church in Serbia, and informed him about the current situation in the church and clergy, expressing his belief that cooperation will continue to improve.
