Sale of 100% shares of the company Zastava Trucks declared unsuccessful

The Serbian Privatisation Agency stated today that the commission monitoring the sale procedure of 100% shares of the company “Zastava Trucks” from Kragujevac declared the sale unsuccessful.
The statement reads that the commission at its first session held today, brought this decision considering the fact that not a single written demand for buying sale documentation reached the advisor or the Privatisation Agency before June 12, which was the deadline for submitting the demand, while the deadline for submitting written bids was June 29.
The statement reads that the public invitation for the sale of 100% shares of the company, whose owners are Zastava Vehicles Group from Kragujevac and “Iveco S.p.A” from Torino Italy, was announced on March 13, 2006.
According to the public invitation April 14 was the deadline for submitting written demands for buying sale documentation, while the deadline for submitting binding bids was May 12. The Privatisation Agency changed these deadlines to June 12 and June 29 due to a lack of interest among bidders.
