Macut expressed his satisfaction that his visit to Egypt is his first official visit to a country since he assumed the office of Prime Minister of Serbia, as well as his gratitude for the warm welcome, which, as he pointed out, reflects the friendship between the two peoples.
The time has come to reaffirm the policy symbolised by the Non-Aligned Movement, and Egypt will always have a sincere ally, friend, and partner in Serbia, the Prime Minister said.
According to him, in these complex political and security conditions prevailing in the world, when there is a danger of aggravation of relations between great powers, it is important that countries like Serbia and Egypt, which pursue independent policies exclusively in the interests of their citizens, come closer and help each other.
The Prime Minister said that Belgrade greatly appreciates Egypt's support when it comes to Kosovo and Metohija and the protection of the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and cultural and religious heritage of Serbia and the Serbian people.
The meeting also looked at the continued strengthening of economic cooperation in construction, agriculture, tourism, and other areas.
A delegation of Serbian businessmen who will participate in the Business Forum also travelled to Egypt with Macut.
