Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of the Republic of Serbia Petar Petković announced that Mayor of Leposavić Lulzim Hetemi, accompanied by the so-called Kosovo police, today forcibly entered and seized the premises of the town’s sports hall, which houses the Leposavić Sports and Tourism Organisation.

Petković emphasised that this facility, built exclusively with funds from the Government of Serbia, has been used by hundreds of children for school sports and extracurricular activities, numerous recreational users, all local sports clubs and the Faculty of Physical Education.
He noted that exams and some lectures in physical education were also held in this facility, giving the hall multifunctional importance for the local community.
Petković reiterated that the entire international community is aware that 20% of Serbs have been forced to leave the north of Kosovo and Metohija due to provocations and threats from Priština, warning that this action sends a message to the remaining Serbs to abandon their homes as well.
