After the signing, Draskovic and Vlahovic announced that embassies will soon be opened in Belgrade and Podgorica on a completely reciprocal basis.
They also said that Serbian and Montenegrin cultural centres might open in Belgrade and Podgorica.
They added that during the talks ahead of the signing of the protocol, Draskovic and Vlahovic had agreed on all most important issues regarding the future relations between the two countries.
Draskovic and Vlahovic specified that once diplomatic relations are established, citizens of Serbia and Montenegro will continue crossing the border with only their personal identification cards, adding that they hope that trade between Serbia and Montenegro will be completely liberalised and the circulation of goods and services free.
