The tender commission for selling this company accepted the results of the tender in a session held on June 19 and approved the list of bidders, with MK Commerce as first ranked.
MK Commerce agreed to pay €2.5 million for the Kula plant and to invest a further €5.2 million. The buyer also agreed to minimum obligations from the social programme.
Other contestants included Rodic M&B Co. from Kula, Home Art and Sales Services from Switzerland and a consortium set up by Mega-Trade in Kula and Univerzum – TPM from Belgrade.
The agency will start negotiations with MK Commerce to define the sale agreement. If negotiations are successful, the sale agreement will be signed within 30 days after the agency informs all bidders of the tender results, in accordance with the law.
