The largest donor is Denmark which will finance a project of English language teaching, surplus military personnel prequalification programme, equipping and training of teams for disabling explosive devices, and equipment for simultaneous translation, with a sum worth €2.1 million, reads the statement.
The Netherlands have offered help worth €900,000 for the project of surplus military personnel prequalification, and the possibility of participating in a project to renovate military infrastructure worth €30,000. Great Britain has given €40,000 to provide the all the information technology equipment needed for the Military Academy.
According to the statement, funds were secured at the donors’ conference also for the realisation of the programme for teaching English. By the year 2010, 2,100 army officers will go through this teaching programme.
The fourth donors’ conference of the Forum for helping countries of southeastern Europe was organised by the Serbian Ministry of Defence and the embassy of Great Britain in Belgrade.
