Bubalo pointed out that the factory is the 14th production facility, including family factories that do business within the Simpo company in the Bujanovac municipality, adding that they are the pattern for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Serbia.
He stressed that the government's priority is a forceful, fast, balanced and stable economic development as being the only way to solve the accumulated economic and social problems in this most underdeveloped region in Serbia. He also recalled that four municipalities from the Pcinj district are among the ten most underdeveloped in the country.
President of the Simpo managing board Milan Nikolic said that €3 million has been invested in the factory and that another 50 young people from the Bujanovac municipality will find employment there.
Nikolic announced the conclusion of works on a sponge factory in Bujanovac, where another 40 people will get jobs.
Bubalo also visited Simpo's facilities in Bujanovac for the production of mattresses, in which €3 million was invested by Simpo and a business partner from Italy. The factory was built in one year and will employ 70 workers.
