Milosavljevic said that although the web portal is in its initial stage, it already contains over 20,000 pieces of information, documents, instructions and analyses and is already the richest economy-related data base in Serbia.
The project was carried out in cooperation with Microsoft, Milosavljevic pointed out and added that first services should start working on July 15.
Microsoft’s director for the government and large scale users Vladan Zivanovic said that the Serbian economy portal is one of Microsoft’s biggest projects in the region.
According to Zivanovic, part of the portal focuses on foreign activities with in-depth data on conditions for doing business, business code of conduct, customs procedures and documentation necessary for opening companies in 44 countries of the world and the list will be expanded to another 58 countries in a few days.
The web portal contains sub-portals on EU accession, regional cooperation, free trade agreements and cooperation with international institutions, he said noting that this is a way to establish a continuous communication channel of the Serbian economy with partners in the world.
Another part of the portal offers data on the Serbian economy by industry, which will make it easier for potential investors, Zivanovic said. He said that the English version of the site is currently in the making and added that entrepreneurs’ info desks are expected to start working soon which will be available to entrepreneurs round-the-clock.
The portal also offers information concerning trade, laws and regulations, upcoming events, associations, trademarks, tenders, supply and demand, as well as other information necessary for building competitiveness and generating economic growth.
