Spokesperson of the Serbian Ministry of Interior Dragana Kajganic said that in today's explosion that occurred in the Prva Iskra chemical plant in Baric, in the Namenska part, has left three persons dead and three suffered minor injuries.

The spokesperson told the Tanjug news agency that the injured suffered burns and that an investigation is underway.
Minister of Interior Dragan Jocic, Minister of Science and Environmental Protection Aleksandar Popovic, Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic and Belgrade Mayor Nenad Bogdanovic all came to the disaster scene in Baric.
Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljevic said that after the news of the explosion in Prva Iskra, all health centres in Belgrade have been put on alert and a large number of mobile medical crews are on the ground.
First reports indicate that three persons were killed in the explosion and several were injured, including a soldier doing civil military service who suffered minor injuries and has been transferred to the Military Medical Academy, Milosavljevic said.
The Minister of Health said that citizens of Obrenovac and Baric have no reason to worry as toxicology analyses confirmed there is no chemical pollution.
Serbian Minister of Science and Environmental Protection Aleksandar Popovic said after visiting the scene of the accident that there is no danger of air pollution in the area.

He added that inspectors from the Environmental Protection Administration of the Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection and the toxicology inspectors of the City Health Protection Institute came to the spot.
There was a severe explosion at Prva Iskra Namenska, around 28 kilometres away from Belgrade, today at around 1.25 pm, which also caused a big quake in the surroundings. Firemen, emergency squads and the police immediately came on the spot.
