Expansion of cooperation between FIAT and Zastava from Kragujevac

The Serbian Ministry of Economy stated that Minister Predrag Bubalo talked today with representative of FIAT Group from Torino Romano Smirnov on the expansion of cooperation between FIAT and Zastava from Kragujevac, following the successful resolution of the debt problem between the two car makers.
The statement says that the Italians expressed interest in the manufacture of one more car model in the Zastava factory. The statement adds that Smirnov commended the efforts of the Ministry of Economy and Minister Bubalo to solve the problem of Zastava's debt to FIAT which burdened the relations between the two factories for years.
The debt problem resolution allowed for the making of an agreement on production of the model "Zastava 10", as well as for the talks on the expansion of cooperation and production of another FIAT car in Kragujevac, the statement concludes.
