Advisor in the sector for rural and agricultural development in the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dragan Pusara said today that during the last three years the ministry has invested more than €600 million in the development of primary agricultural production.
Speaking at the seminar on investment opportunities and development of cooperation between Italian and Serbian companies in the agro-industry sector, Pusara said that in Serbia agriculture is the sector with the largest investment potential.
The seminar was organised by the Italian institute Vittorio Tadini from Piacenza, and 27 representatives of the Italian agrarian industry and 30 representatives of the Serbian agriculture and food sector participated, including the Serbian Investment and Export Promotion Agency, Serbian Agency for Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Entrepreneurship, representatives of chambers of commerce, major agro companies and the Serbian Institute for Animal Husbandry.
