Serbian Assistant Minister of Energy and Mining Milutin Prodanovic attended today the signing of an agreement on the completion of the main gas pipeline from Krusevac across Trstenik to Vrnjacka Banja, between members of these municipalities and the company Srbijagas.
Prodanovic said on the occasion that completion of works will close the circle which will allow provision of gas to that part of Serbia. He added that it will also allow gasification of several other neighbouring municipalities and the entire area south of Kopaonik.
The completion of the main gas pipeline project will be financed entirely with money from the national investment plan, and municipalities are responsible for securing the regulation of thoroughfare and property relations with land owners, he explained.
Prodanovic recalled that the Serbian government initiated the preparation of a national investment plan according to which investments worth €1 billion in infrastructure, health and other projects are envisaged in this year alone.
The signing of the agreement was also attended by Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Radomir Naumov.
