Parivodic, who visited the agriculture fair in Novi Sad, said that this event is of enormous importance for the development of economic cooperation with foreign countries.
He said that together with a delegation of the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia-Montenegro he established a precise schedule of upcoming events, adding that he presented the prepared amendments to the Law on foreign investment to foreign investors.
According to Parivodic, this law aims to attract new investors, but also to help the investors in Serbia remain here, develop their business and increase investment.
Parivodic added that the law envisages the introduction of a "one-stop shop for cooperation with investors", the education of working teams at the level of local self-government or the ministry itself for the resolution of all potential problems, and the institutionalisation of care for investors.
Representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce supported the proposed changes to the law, and the president of this institution Eugenio Sidoli thanked Minister Parivodic on his good intentions and announced the formation of an investors team who would give their view of the amendments to the law shortly.
The meeting was held as part of the realisation of the Strategy for encouraging and developing foreign investment.
