President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and Minister of Sports Zoran Gajić attended today in Paris the ceremonial opening of the "Serbian House", as part of the 2024 Olympic Games.
The opening of this multi-functional pavilion was also attended by the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, Minister for Foreign Trade of France Franck Riester, high-ranking officials of France and representatives of the diplomatic corps.
"Serbian House", which is located in La Villette Park, which during the Olympic Games will bear the name "Park of Nations" because it houses as many as 15 national houses, will represent a unique center that will offer visitors a rich and interactive experience of Serbian culture, history, sports and gastronomy.
The central part of the pavilion will be the art installation "Roots", 6.5 meters high, which will evoke the deep roots of the Serbian people, its traditions, culture and history.
Also, visitors will have the opportunity to see animations inspired by our athletes, the works of Nadežda Petrović through advanced technological algorithms, as well as to meet great Serbian scientists and innovators, such as Nikola Tesla and Milutin Milanković.
In addition, "Serbian House" will also present rich documentary photo-material from the Archives of Yugoslavia, which will be shown to the public for the first time, and includes thousands of artifacts related to Serbia's participation in the previous Olympic Games.
The gastronomic part of the pavilion will allow visitors to enjoy traditional Serbian dishes prepared in a modern way by the most talented young chefs of Serbia from the Junior Chefs Club.
At the same time, the importance of Serbia's tourist offer, economy based on modern technologies, innovations in science, as well as plans for Expo 2027 were highlighted.
The "Serbian House" will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and entry will be free for all visitors.
