The total value of the foreign loans amount to €380 million.
Seven out of ten counter-guarantees refer to loans granted by the World Bank. Their realisation began in 2002 and the parliament of the state union of Serbia-Montenegro already gave counter-guarantees for them. These loans include loans for gasification, irrigation, building pension administration, modernisation of electric power system and power network.
Three new counter-guarantees refer to loans granted by European banks, namely a €72 million loan of the European Bank for the Belgrade-Novi Sad section of the highway, €25 million granted by the European Investment Bank (EIB) for building nine schools, and €16 million granted by German KfW for purchasing mining equipment for Tamnava mine.
In its sitting today, parliament ratified a customs agreement with Croatia and Iran.
After the adoption of amendments to the Law on farmers’ associations, the parliament closed its second regular spring sitting and started a new sitting by establishing its agenda.
