Prime Minister Ana Brnabic stated today, opening the sixth Government Services Forum in Dubai, that Serbia has achieved significant success by introducing electronic services that significantly facilitate the daily life of citizens.
Speaking at the Forum, which was held as part of the World Governments Summit, Brnabic stated that Serbia had to start from scratch in order to have an almost completely electronic government in eight years.
However, she pointed out that the work is never finished and that there are always things that can be improved and new databases that can be created, assessing that this forum is an extraordinary opportunity to share Serbia's experiences in the development of electronic government, as well as to hear about innovative solutions that our country can implement.
I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this global platform for the exchange of knowledge and innovation, which helps us all build a better future, said Brnabic.
The Prime Minister stressed that we are witnessing the transformative power of technology, the importance of partnership and the centralisation of services for the needs of citizens.
Today, thanks to e-government, technology and digitisation, we can and should be available to our citizens 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, Brnabic concluded.
The sixth edition of the Government Services Forum brought together globally renowned leaders from the public and private sectors to discuss the future of government services, exploring the topics of rising citizen expectations, new technologies and innovations shaping government services.
The Summit, which opened yesterday, brought together more than 85 international and regional organisations, 120 government delegations, will have 15 forums and more than 120 interactive workshops and sessions, and will feature more than 200 speakers.
