The Serbian Privatisation Agency stated today that the tender commission monitoring the implementation of public tender for sale of 96.38% of the total registered capital of the socially-owned company “IMK 29. novembar" from Subotica, which is in the process of restructuring, declared the tender unsuccessful at its first session held on March 10. The reasons stated are that no bids were submitted before February 17 as envisaged in the text of the public tender.
The public tender for the sale of 96.38% of the total registered capital of “IMK 29. novembar" from Subotica, which is in the process of restructuring, was called on June 3, 2005.
Since interest in this company was very slight at the beginning of the privatisation process, the Agency carried out the process of restructuring and debt release and kept extending the deadline for purchasing tender documentation and submitting bids so as to give prospective investors the opportunity to reconsider investment possibilities.
Within the set time limit, the tender documentation was purchased by two companies, MIL-BUK from Zagreb and Bakalar Komerc from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
