SIEPA has organised for the third time the participation of local firms in this specialised fair, and for the first time a national stand will be placed there and used for all future fairs as a way of reducing participation costs.
Alongside SIEPA, the participation of domestic firms is supported by the Serbian Enterprise Development Project (SEDP), which is financed by USAID, and the German Organisation for Technical Cooperation GTZ.
Even during the setting up of the national stand which carries the title "Enter Serbia - Key to Success," the participation of Serbian firms attracted great attention. This continued after the formal opening of the fair. According to first reports, representatives of 14 domestic ICT firms have already established a large number of contacts with foreign representatives.
SIEPA and the Commercial Service of the US embassy in Serbia-Montenegro will organise a large number of bilateral meetings of Serbian firms with representatives of US companies.
The US pavilion at the CeBIT 2006 is host to over 100 leading firms in the area of ICT, and will exhibit the latest VoIP, LAN equipment, equipment for securing buildings, optic cables and various options in wireless data transfer, among many other things. These leading world companies are looking for agents, distributors and systems that can provide consolidated marketing Europe wide. Considering this it is clear that the meetings are very important to Serbian exhibitors. The Serbian stand is located in the proximity of two most well known US and leading world companies – IBM and Microsoft.
CeBIT is the place where visitors are presented with the latest trends from this industry, thus offering a unique opportunity to Serbian firms to present their own ICT solutions to the international public, form new contacts and conclude export contracts. SIEPA together with all partners will inform the domestic public on conclusion of business deals after the fair closes.
