Members of the government adopted the Bill amending the Law on Planning and Construction, which speeds up procedures for issuing building permits, removes obstacles, such as conversion for a fee, and enables the process of issuing permits to be more transparent and with the aim of greater protection of citizens and those who build.
The amendments introduce a green building certificate for all public buildings, as well as all buildings over 10,000 square metres, which will make Serbia one of the first countries in Europe to fully apply these certificates.
Members of the government adopted the Bill amending the Law on Railways, which specifies the authority of the Directorate for Railways and implements the further procedure of harmonisation with the legal acquis of the European Union in order to establish a single European railway area.
At the session, the Bill amending the Law on Human Organ Transplantation was adopted, in order to enable an increase in the number of performed human organ transplant procedures in order to improve the health of Serbian citizens and the quality of health care, in accordance with modern standards of medical science and practice in this area.
The government also adopted the Conclusion on the agreement that the Directorate for Commodity Reserves intervene to sell 32,000 tons of wheat flour "T-500" to bread producers with the aim of preserving the stability of the bakery industry, helping bread producers and protecting the standards of Serbian citizens.
The programme for the simplification of administrative procedures and regulation "e-Paper" for the period 2023-2025 was adopted at the session.
Members of the government agreed to support the study visit of 50 master's and doctoral students from the universities of Harvard (USA) and MIT (USA) to the member countries of the Open Balkans from 18 to 26 May, as part of the Open Balkans initiative. The Republic of Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania will be visited by students from 17 different countries, from all continents, except Australia.
