This bill introduces the right to the status of a parent-caregiver and caregiver as well as a monthly cash benefit of RSD 65,000, along with the payment of contributions for health, pension and disability insurance.
New solutions improve the material and social situation of families who are unable to find regular employment due to caring for their loved ones.
The members of the Government also adopted the Bill on the Legal Status of International Sports Federations with Headquarters in the Republic of Serbia, which for the first time regulates the conditions for their establishment, registration, operation and legal status in the country.
The proposed legal solutions allow international sports federations to move their headquarters to Serbia without interruption of legal continuity, thereby strengthening the country’s international position and improving the development of sports.
Solutions are also envisaged that enable institutional and financial support for the work of these organisations, with full respect for the domestic legal order and international standards.
The cabinet also adopted the Bill on Amendments to the Law on the Prevention of Doping in Sport, which harmonises domestic legislation with the new World Anti-Doping Code, which enters into force in 2027.
Under the new solutions, proceedings related to violations of anti-doping rules will be entrusted exclusively to independent bodies, in accordance with the highest international standards.
The members of the Government also adopted the Strategy for the Development of Sports in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2026-2035, which establishes long-term goals, priorities and measures for the improvement of the sports system in Serbia.
The vision of development is set as “A sports-active, healthy and successful Serbia”, with the construction of an inclusive, sustainable and well-managed sports system that will provide equal opportunities for all citizens.
